It’s simple: just step into 10 inches of clean, comfortable, body-temperature water — therapeutically infused with 900 pounds of healing Epsom Salt. The density of the salt in the water leaves you partially submerged, as you buoyantly float, freeing yourself from all sensory overload.
As you begin to relax, your brain begins drifting into a half-awake, half-dreaming meditative state. This relaxation for your brain allows it to tap into its highest creativity and discover new ideas. Your blood pressure decreases as your stress Cortisol drops, allowing soothing pheromones to rise.
The zero-gravity environment helps your body begin to heal. Floating encourages your tired muscles to relax, inflammation in your body to reduce, and allows any tightness in your lower back to soothingly decompresses into a relaxed, proper alignment.
When you emerge you will leave with a calmer mind and a relaxed body. This feeling can last for several days.
As the pressure of gravity is relieved from your muscles, built up tension decreases, helping every muscle in your body relax like never before. The high levels of magnesium sulfate in the float water allows your body to recover faster from strain and injury. These benefits have been shown to increase each time you float.
The zero gravity environment relieves pressure points. This allows your blood vessels to dilate fully, immediately lowering your blood pressure and maximizing how much oxygen, red blood cells, and blood your body is receiving. The Epsom salt absorbed during a floatation session will also assist in reducing high blood pressure.
The zero gravity environment experienced while floating, relieves built up pressures and tension on the back and neck. As they are no longer fighting the pull of gravity.
This weightless environment improves blood circulation and lymphatic flow, which facilitates the efficient transportation of immune cells throughout your body. This allows your immune system to more effectively identify and eliminate pathogens.
Endorphins, a natural occurring chemical in the body, triggers positive emotion and pain relief. Endorphins are released while floating, providing the body with a sense of elation, critical for fighting off migraines and headaches.
The high concentration of epsom salt (1000 lbs) dissolved in the float tank will draw out harmful toxins, easing swelling and inflammation.
Our senses are continuously bombarded with external stimuli all the time. After a session in the floatation pod, your body has a chance to reset. Studies have shown increased visual acuity, improved tactile perception, accelerated auditory sensitivity, and an increased taste palette long after the float session is over.
Chronic stress negatively impact immune function as the body increases production of the stress hormone cortisol, which suppresses immune activity. Float therapy's unique environment allows you to disconnect from stressors and promotes relaxation. Relaxing reduces cortisol levels, helping to improve immune function.
Floating minimizes production of the stress hormone, cortisol. It also activates the parasympathetic nervous system, resulting in
While researchers are still studying why, a 2016 study found that people who included float therapy in their routine reported significantly fewer anxiety symptoms, with 37% of them achieving complete remission from their anxiety.
Float therapy helps reduce stress hormones and floods the body with endorphins. These neurotransmitters promote a positive mood. Floating also increases your serotonin levels, which is a chemical messenger that’s believed to act as a mood stabiliser. It helps produce healthy sleeping patterns as well as boost your mood.
Floating activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which brings your body out of ‘fight or flight’ and into a ‘rest and digest’ state. The float environment enhances your internal awareness, allows your brain to learn how to relax, provides you the opportunity to learn how to deal with stress, and learn what it feels like to be stress free.
The relaxation achieved while floating helps you mentally de-stress, making it easier for your brain to shift into a theta wave state. Theta waves allow your body to transition into the delta waves required for REM Sleep. Regular float sessions help regulate sleep patterns, allowing you to sleep better during the night.
The float environment helps keep your flight and fight responses at bay. Floating activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which fights off this response, allowing healing, relaxation, and replenishment to begin.
Many addictions build over time through compulsive responses to stress. Float therapy helps remove these compulsions and disrupt these habits. Regular float sessions reduce stress, and provide a greater ability to deal with stress in healthy ways. Over time this will grow into a positive cycle where not only is the stress that leads to addictive behavior reduced, so is the behavior itself.
A great introduction on what to expect during a float session.

The float room has a private shower and bathroom. We have built in shower time for you to enjoy a full 60 or 90 minutes in the float room. We expect you to exit 10 to 15 minutes after your session has ended. It is important that you keep careful track of your time and use it wisely. We need time to clean the float room and run the filters in the spa before the next float session. We want all of our guests to have an enjoyable and relaxing experience and staying past your alloted time will impact all other guests after your session. If you are unable to exit the float room in a timely manner and we cannot reset the room in time for the next guest, you will be charged a fee.
The jets on the float pod will come on to signal the end of your float.
We will not allow you to float if you have any of the following conditions:
Yes. Epsom Salt is hydrating for the skin and may provide some relief for these conditions. If you are concerned you should check with your doctor before floating. This article from Epsom Salt Council, "Epsom Salt Baths for Eczema, Psoriasis and Acne", provides some information on the benefits of Epsom Salts for skin care.

Anyone under 18 will need consent from a parent or guardian. We require that the parent has floated with us first, has signed the waiver and is present for the duration of the first float (in the lobby.) For children under 12, a parent or guardian should call ahead and talk to one of our staff members to determine if floating is appropriate for your child. There is no maximum age, as long as one is capable of physically stepping in and out of the float room. It is similar to getting in and out of a bathtub at home. Guests who need additional assistance entering and exiting the float rooms may bring a family member to help as we cannot lift people in and out of the float equipment.

We find it is better to get your hard workout in before your float. Floating reduces muscle tension, neutralizes the spine and helps the body recover more quickly.
You must wait at least 21 days from the date of any type of hair color or treatment and 45 days for vibrant hair colors such as blue, purple, red, green, etc.
Yes, it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep your hair dry during a float session, even if you wear a swim cap (many people have tried!). If your hair comes in contact with the water (as it inevitably will.) You will have to rinse the salt out of it post float as you do not want crusty hair and salt on your clothing and personal items.
No. Epsom salt is very nourishing for skin. Your skin absorbs magnesium from the epsom salt and will leave it feeling silky smooth.
Yes! We strictly follow the Float Tank Association’s North American Float Tank Standards. Between each and every float session, the entire volume of Epsom salt solution is filtered and disinfected. The float solution is filtered a minimum of 3 times between each float cycling 99.9% of the water through our filtration system. The solution passes through a micron filter, UV light chamber and an Ozonator. We also use hydrogen peroxide and test the water daily to ensure a sanitary environment. The benefits of this type of disinfection system is that it leaves behind no harsh chemicals.
It is rarely a problem. The tank is actually much bigger on the inside than you might think, and you can sit up and move around easily. Some people find it helpful to leave the lid cracked or wide open with a light on. The key to remember is you’re in total control of your experience.
You are in total control of your entire experience. If you want to hop out, the choice is yours. If you need help there is a button in the tank to call the front desk. However, most people find that 60 minutes passes quite quickly.
No. Many people safely fall asleep in the tank as a result of being so relaxed. If you were to roll over the salinity of the water would irritate your eyes and nose and you would wake up immediately.

You can float as often as you like. The recommended frequency of your floats depends upon the reason you are floating. It is recommended to float three to five times to initially understand the process of flotation and begin to reap its long-term advantages. The benefits are cumulative, which explains why flotation devotees incorporate this therapy into their everyday lives.
If you wear contact lenses, please bring a contact case and solution as we recommend removing contacts prior to floating. Also, please bring a hair brush or comb, or even deodorant for after your float. You will need to shower in your private suite before and after your float session so bring any toiletries along that you may need. We provide towels, body wash/shampoo/conditioner.
Ear plugs if you have them, or we do have some available upon request, to keep the water out of your ears. We also have spray bottles with water and washcloths should you happen to get some of that salty water in your eyes!
Every float is different and each person's experience is different. It helps to go into a float experience with an open mind, ready to loosen the grip on sense of control and expectation. For the first few minutes, you may experience some slight discomfort and tightening in areas of the body that you hold your stress. Just notice what you are feeling and let it go. If you get anxious, just focus on your breathing and let your mind and body learn to let go and relax.
Spray tans that are still washing off and henna tattoos will come of in the water chemsitry so you need to wait to float.
